General
• Dancers and parents / guardians undertake to comply with M. E Dance Academy’s
Terms and Conditions at all times;
• The studio dance year runs from 18 January to December 2025
Fee Structure
• An Annual Registration fee of R250 is payable with first months fees; • Class fees are
determined annually for the dance year of 12 months; • Class fees are paid monthly in
advance, before the 1st of every month;
• Class fees remain payable in cases of
absence. No reduction for class fees on absence, sickness or holidays;
• Class fees do not include competition fees, choreography fees, exam fees, workshops
and costumes;
• Class fees are non-refundable;
• Class fees may be subject to change with appropriate
notice to dancers.

• I agree to pay fees before the 1st of each month;

• M. E Dance Academy’s payment method is via EFT directly into the banking

• If you have not paid your account in 2024, we cannot accept the dancer until it is
paid in full.
Class Attendance • Dancers should attend class regularly; • Dancers should arrive
promptly and be correctly dressed for their lessons; • M. E Dance Academy will hold
the final say as to the sustainability of the Dancer to be entered into competitions and/
or shows / exams/ concerts and may, at its sole and exclusive discretion withdraw or
hold back from any such specified events, any dancer of which in the opinion of M. E
Dance Academy, appears to be inadequately prepared due to poor attendance and / or
performance; • Parents / Guardians are responsible for under-aged children whilst at
classes, workshops, rehearsals and performances; • No eating during classes only
outside. Only water and liquid allowed in lessons;
• Parents and family watching should remain silent when class is in progress.
Termination of Agreement
• Dancers or Parents / Guardians are required to provide
one calendar month’s Written Notice if they wish to terminate their lessons; • Dancers
or Parents / Guardians are to ensure that, upon termination, all payments are fully paid
up including the last month • Class fees are non- refundable.
Liability Waiver and Acknowledgement of Risk • I understand and agree that
participating in dance class, workshop, exmas, rehearsal or performance, that there is
a possibility of physical injury; • I voluntarily agree therefore, to assume all risks and
responsibility for any such injury or accident; • Furthermore, I also exempt M. E
Dance Academy, their owner, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists and/ or
students from any and all liability claims, demands or causes of action whatsoever
from any damage, loss, injury or death to me, my children or property which may
arise out of or in connection with participating in any classes or activities;
• I understand that it is my duty to ensure that M. E Dance Academy is aware of any
medical condition that I or my child may suffer from;
• M. E Dance Academy will strive to ensure that all reasonable safety precautions are
taken prior to and during classes, workshops, rehearsals or performances;
• I understand when learning to dance it may be necessary for the instructor to correct
my child’s/ dancer’s posture or body line, which may involve physical contact to be
made by the instructor.
• Intellectual Property
• I understand and agree that all the dance routines taught by M. E Dance Academy are
the intellectual property of M. E Dance Academy;
• I understand and agree that external public performances of these works at talent
competitions, school reviews, etc, will not be allowed without the written permission
from the M. E Dance Academy;
• I understand and agree that no video recordings are permitted during classes,
workshops or rehearsals, unless authorised by M. E Dance Academy;
• Acceptance
• I understand that by registering as a dancer with M. E Dance Academy, I have read
and understood the content of this agreement;
• No variation or amendment of these Terms and Conditions and no extension of time,
waiver or relaxation or suspension of any of the provisions or terms of these Terms
and Conditions shall be binding or have any force and effect unless reduced to writing
